Well, my slab is poured and cinder blocks are waiting for me to make a decision.
I'm tossing around the thought of adding a second burn chamber under the back end of the oven (in the back of the base) and venting the heat/smoke up through the pizza oven for smoking and indirect heat cooking.  I've seen a video of a guy that did this (with his fire box to one side).
Anyway...   My big question is this..  I have enough firebrick for my main oven, but not enough for this second burn chamber.   Is fire brick needed for ALL fire, or is standard brick ok to use to line my second chamber (non cooking area) ?
  Thanks!
