I can't find Type S or Hydrated Lime? Will another type of lime work?

Lime has many, many names, but usually, it’s all lime (crushed Limestone ground into a fine powder).

Here are some of the many names of lime you can use.

Type S Lime (most common)
Type SA Lime
Type N Lime
Type NA Lime
Builders Lime
Contractors Lime
Hydrated Lime
Masons Lime
Powdered Lime
Pulverized Lime
Quiklime

DO NOT PURCHASE GRANULATED LIME (little lime balls for yards / fertilizer).

ONLY USE LIME THAT IS IN POWERED FORM! IT WILL LOOK / FEEL LIKE POWDERED SUGAR.
