The specific placement of outdoor built-in cooking devices on your property may be subject to state and local municipal building codes. Some communities may have Home Owner’s Association rules and regulations that govern the use of these items. Before building, search relevant web sites and/or documents for codes pertaining to outdoor solid-fuel burning devices, for example, BBQ grills, outdoor cooking equipment, fire places, fire pits, required distances from structures and property lines, smoke, odors, and any other relevant keywords.
