In the instruction manual it states to wait until step 48 to fill the gaps between the firebrick floor, however there is no step 48. Is this where the 5lbs of flour comes in handy? When is the best time to do this?
If I may ask, why is that? Flour getting funky over time and humidity?

Some customers were stating that the flour was developing mold… so we decided to pull that suggestion…
The ash from the curing fires will fill those joints just as good as the flour did - and it won’t bake out or become moldy.
