In the instructions for the hearth slab it states after concrete is poured tap around the form with a rubber mallet to remove air bubbles. I unfortunately didn’t tap enough and still have some in my slab. This brings me to a video I just discovered that recommended using a reciprocating saw without the blade in it to vibrate the for. I hope this will help someone with their build.
