HEAT STOP 50 & HEAT STOP II
Non water soluble High-Temperature Mortar. While the Dry / Bagged version of Heat Stop 50 is excellent and recommend, DO NOT USE Heat Stop II (Heat Stop 2) as it is a premixed mortar - and premixed mortars DO NOT work with BrickWood Ovens products. Again - DO NOT USE PREMIXED MORTAR from a bucket or pail!
HEATCAST 40
For casting special shapes for woodstoves, hearths, sidewalls and other high temperature applications.
INSUL-CAST
This is an INSULATED / LIGHTWEIGHT Castable Refractory. Not our first choice when making the Cortile Barile or Mattone Cupola ovens as it is lighter in density than the solid Heat Cast 40 or other similar Castable Refractory brands. DO NOT USE Insul-Cast for the BrickWood Box Hearth Slab!!!
