Here in Connecticut I can get two different types of stucco at the home center. One is a basecoat the other is a finish coat. The materials list calls for (3) 80lb bags of stucco. Does it matter which ones I purchase and if so, how many bags of each should I get?
Either type of stucco will work - but try to get the Scratch / Base coat. And make sure you use a margin trowel to apply some “grooves” or scratches in the stucco before you apply the veneer.
Make sure you get (3) bags - you will probably only use 2 1/2 though.
