Can I mortar the exterior veneer to the Ceramic Fiber Blanket?

You won’t have much luck laying a straight line of brick on a flexible blanket…

It would be like building a wall against a squishy curtain…

Here is the ONLY way to build the exterior of a wood-fired oven:

  • Firebrick Oven
  • Blanket / Layer
  • Blanket / Layer 2
  • Chicken Wire
  • AT LEAST ONE LAYER OF STUCCO OR MORTAR MIX
  • Full brick w/ 3/8” Mortar
