I purchased fire brick from harbison walker, not specifying which brick from my list of materials, i have Clipper DP fire brick. which are very hard to cut, and high heat after looking them up. will these work or do i need to get a different fire brick from them.

Clipper DP is labeled a “super duty” firebrick by HWI. So I’m not surprised it is hard to cut, and it’s also way outside the duty range for firebrick that you’d use in one of these ovens. I’d return it and ask for a low duty or medium duty firebrick.
I’d have the instructions handy as you talk with them. Harbison Walker is a great supplier, and because they deal with so many segments of the refractory market you have to be really specific with them about what you need.

So after reading up on firebricks, i need low to medium hard firebrick, not insulating IFB or soft brick. Thanks, A finding i will go.
