Creating a Fan Effect on The Front

Hey Matt,
All is going well and on to the next issue.
I created a form from 3/4 plywood that is slightly larger than the BWO steel door as you can see from my tracing picture. As you can see there is more firebrick exposed at the top than sides. I attribute this to my build even though I feel I followed the foam form well. So esthetically I don’t care for the look if I followed the lines of the form leaving an uneven amount of firebrick exposed… I would prefer to hide my sins by bringing the splits to the inside of the outside edge as pictured. You mentioned upthread talking about this that I would not be able to seal the oven…I get that. I suppose I could fasten an insulated plate that would attach to the steel on the inside similar to a recent post. Your thoughts?
