Many contractors would say that we require about 2x more rebar than is needed. And they are correct. But, we design our ovens and bases to last several generations and rebar is cheap!
If you are willing to spend an extra $20 in rebar to ensure that your grandkids, grandkids can use your oven, then an extra $20 is a good investment!
